Skinny Cocktails you have to try!!!
Yes, its true, our bodies metabolize alcohol over fat burning temporarily and that means drinking alcohol on a regular basis can slow down fat loss and be a bit of a sabotage to our healthy efforts. Knowledge is power. However, given this knowledge, does that mean I am never going to have another cocktail…..UMMMMMM……NO! But that does mean I like to have a few “skinny” alternatives to the calorie and sugar laden originals.
Skinny Pina Colada
Ingredients:
2 oz Coconut Rum
5 oz coconut water
2 oz pineapple juice
Directions:
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake and strain into a glass filled with ice.
Garnish with a slice of pineapple and/or a Maraschino cherry (optional).
Drink and enjoy!
Delicious White Summer Sangria
Makes approximately 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
1.5 liters of dry white wine (I use a good Sauvignon Blanc)
1/2 liter of soda water
1/2 liter of Fresca (or other citrus soda)
1 bag of frozen berries
Directions: Mix in pitcher and divide between glasses. May serve over ice.
Skinny Grapefruit Margarita
Makes one serving
Ingredients:
1 oz Skinny Triple Sec
1 oz gold tequila
juice of half a grapefruit
juice of half a lime
1/2 cup sparkling water
Directions: Combine all ingredients and serve over ice.
